Installation Guide

1. If possible, use a dedicated uninstaller tool to uninstall any previous version of XMind, for example: Revo Uninstaller Pro v4.3.3 – This will help minimize the troubleshooting of the problems caused by the implemented RCE solution.

2. Install XMind 8 Pro and run it at least once.

3. Disable update check:
   -> Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Startup -> Check updates and news on startup: NO (Apply)

4. Disable anonymous statistics sending:
   -> Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Startup -> Send usage data: NO (Apply)

5. Close XMind and enter the Fix folder.

6. Copy the XMind.ini file under the XMind.ini folder to the program installation directory, and replace the original file!
   The default installation path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\XMind

7. Copy the entire RCE folder to the program installation directory.
   The default installation path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\XMind

8. Modify the system hosts file, the path is: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts,
   Add the following 3 lines at the end:

   # XMind Mind-Mapper
   127.0.0.1 xmind.net
   127.0.0.1 www.xmind.net

9. Start XMind and begin activation, -> Help -> License -> Enter License, use the following information to register the software:
